Creative Max: Creatively Different!

Despite the recent selfies that you may have seen of me on my instagram, my hands clutching at a mug of coffee, disheveled hair and hiding my face behind glasses, I really love make-up. I am actually quite a girly girl but since Alyssa's arrival I think I can count on one hand the amount of

times I have put on a full face of make-up. I will pop on some eyeliner and mascara when I am going out occasionally but otherwise to be honest, I usually have a million and one things to do and remember when leaving the house with my 9 month old wriggling daughter that it's enough we actually make it out!
However, when the lovely people @CMaxFinest (that's Creative Max and their Finest range) offered to send me over some products to try out and I saw make-up I jumped at the chance! Generally, if you follow my blog, a lot of the wonderful products I get sent are for Alyssa, so it was lovely to be asked to review something for myself. Imagine my surprise when I opened up the box and lovely tissue paper only to discover that they had sent something for Alyssa to try out too - so kind as we can't have her feeling left

out the little diva?!
So, let's take a look at what Alyssa got in "her" post. Part of the Creative Max family, or group or brands, is Griptight, a business solely focused on baby products aimed at newborns and toddlers. They produce everything from cups and dinner sets to bath accessories. They sent Alyssa a lovely (PINK!!!!) Bib and Trainer Cup.
Let me start off by saying that the bib was a complete winner for me because it was long, wide and wipe able. Alyssa is starting to want to feed herself and oh my lord the mess, so this is like a drop bucket to catch all the falling

debris. I wonder if they do it in highchair size to save the floor?! As you can see in this oh so cute picture of my daughter stuffing her face, that whilst she should be congratulated on the fact she is feeding herself.... half of it is just bouncing off those chubby cheeks so the bib was awesome!
The cup I was not optimistic about as we have been through several cups until Alyssa finally found one she would drink out of. She is bloody fussy and will not drink anything unless it is in the right cup. However, this new cup was also a big hit. I think because it had the same kind of format as her much loved cup - rubber/chewy mouth piece and handles either side that she felt comfortable and didn't notice the difference. This is good news for me because it means I can have one in the wash and one in use. I would also like to add that I was really happy on the packaging it stated that all the products are BPA free which I have to say is something I look for nowadays and I was even happier to discover the cup was valve free meaning all those mould horror stories on the news will not be visiting me. Two BIG BIG thumbs up for Alyssa's Products!

Now, moving on to the really really good stuff (because it's for me) I could not wait to try out my new make-up accessories. A good excuse to play!!
So I was sent a blusher brush, a finishing airbrush and an absorbent blending sponge. Once again all in PINK! which would never cause me to complain being my favourite colour.
So, obviously following with the routine that I go through to put on my make-up, I popped out the little pink blending sponge first. I was amazed at how soft and silky it felt and straight away I noticed what good absorbency it had - not too much that it takes all the foundation but not too little so that you end up smeary. I primarily used it for blending my foundation into the corners of my eye and round my nose which I don't think a brush does very well. I found it most handy when adding my concealer on top of the foundation as it gave a natural blend and created a nice finish to the base of my make-up!

The brushes were BOTH amazing. I used the blusher one to dust my cheeks with a healthy pink glow and used the finishing brush over my face once I had finished to ensure that everything was well blended, there was no loose make-up and also to dust a few flecks of highlighter across my face. The brushes were soooooo soft and felt deliciously luxurious. I am terrible for buying cheap brushes that I just use and throw away, but these brushes would definitely force me into maintaining them, washing them and ensuring that they last a long time. Another small thing that I appreciated was that it came with a helpful little set of instructions that detailed in what way each brush could be used - if you are like me and love make-up but don't always know what you are doing, this is very handy! I was so pleased with the end result!

All in all, I must say that despite it being quite a random collection of different companies together, make-up brushes and baby cups are not your usual combo, it didn't matter as both were of a high quality and perfect for both Alyssa and I. We were sent products that were so incredibly useful and will last a long while.
Thanks Creative Max.... you did an awesomely creative job!
