My Fat Journey: Week 2 Weigh In

This week seemed to pass in a blur and to be honest about 3/4 of the way through I suddenly thought... oh yeah I am still dieting aren't I?! This actually is a good thing because it means it is becoming routine to eat what I am eating, though it was at this point that the self-doubt and depracation kicked in with the thought "I bet I don't lose anything this week!"

I had a minor meltdown moment at the weekend due to a severe lack of sleep (my darling daughter is going through a lovely NOPE I WILL NOT SLEEP IN THE EVENING phase at the moment that I am cherishing!!!) For an hour or so the whole situation got the better of me and what would I have normally done in a situation like this? Well, once I had stopped crying (I've told you I am a hefty crier!) I would have reached for the chocolate, or cheese, or icecream or anything to fill me up after all the tears left a great big void. However, I stayed strong and had a cup of tea and a hug from my mum!! This is a huge step for me and towards disconnecting my emotions to food!! Yay me (little pat on back!!)

Bubba and I went to our first Mummy/Baby swimming lesson with @PuddletheDuck this week and it was awesome. I was really nervous and a little bit anxious, not because of the water, or even how Alyssa would react, but because of being face with a whole new group of people that I didn't know (you know how girls can be cliquey!! I went to an all girls school so.... yeah!!!) However, I needn't have worried - loads of people came over to say hi to both Alyssa and I and the staff put us at ease immediately. Great gentle workout for me walking and swimming Alyssa around the pool and she was completely unfazed and spent most of time being nosey looking round and trying to chew her fists! Can't wait for our next lesson!! Also, the pool we go to does private hire, so the fam and I are looking to go one evening a week all together, all 9 of us which will be lovely and more exercise for me!

My favourite meal of the week was my homemade "Veggie Minestrone Soup!" It was really warming, which is perfect for the sudden drop in temperature we've been having. One of my highlights this week, was meeting an old friend of mine (who I've known since I was 12!!) for a good catch-up! We are in constant contact but due to life, work and babies often find it hard to meet... and I treated myself to a latte!!! Plus..... drum roll please.... you are looking at her newly appointed Maid of Honour!!! Hell to the yeah!! Felt so privelidged to be asked and hey thanks to her for providing another incentive for me to stick to this new healthy life. It is my job to schmooze the best man right?

And finally, I know I know I rabbit on a bit, I suppose you'd all like to know how I did this week. Well.....
I LOST 4LBS!!!!
Which means in two weeks I have lost a total of 8lbs, just over half a stone. 6lbs more for my first stone... whoop whoop!! So come on, please tell me how you have gotten on this week??
